What is the Partnership for Ukraine about?

We invest in people already working on Ukraine's sustainable recovery. Through cooperation and sharing local experience, sustainable projects emerge for cities and regions.

Path to Ukraine's Sustainable Recovery

What do internship participants say about the project?

Read experiences directly from those who lived our internships firsthand.

"The internship was extremely beneficial for me. The programme brings together strong organisations with innovative approaches, collaborative formats, and valuable experience. I am confident that Ukraine will also gain new opportunities for sustainable development and recovery."

"The internship offers the most valuable opportunity – to visit existing facilities and connect with people whose practical experience helps you understand important nuances in implementing such projects. It's also great to find like-minded people and plan activities together in Ukraine."

"It was a great idea to share the experience Czechs gained in the 1990s entering the EU with us Ukrainians and make our EU entry easier. Today we defend ourselves with weapons in hand, and you teach us to be Europeans."

Our Activities

We transfer proven models of sustainable development to Ukraine. Our support is comprehensive: we connect businesses, universities, public institutions, and locals.

Heart of Ukraine

Grant Support for Local Projects

We help members of the Ukrainian leaders network secure funding for their projects. We supported the creation of an energy-independent farm, oak alleys reinforcing riverbanks, an educational eco-center, and a nature trail about ancient trees.

Online debates with experts

We organize regular meetings of Czech and Ukrainian experts with members of the leaders' network. We address topics crucial to Ukrainian society – energy, security and independence of critical infrastructure, waste, and adaptation measures.

Strengthening the Decentralization of Ukraine

We are transferring the European LEADER method for rural development and the operating principle of LAGs (Local Action Groups) to Ukraine. In the pilot phase, eight Czech LAGs share their experiences with their Ukrainian partners.

We are grateful to the companies and institutions helping us prepare Ukraine for the future. They include CS Mott Foundation, ECF, Porticus, South Moravian Region, Statutory City of Brno, MND, GenTec, RSJ, Hrdlička, and Hlinsko Energy.
